Core Values and Mission

Core Values

It is important to understand the values that guide an organization and its members. The U.S. Air Force and Space Force are dedicated to achieving excellence in everything we do. This sentiment is reflected in our core values.

Integrity First: Integrity is essential. It is the inner voice, the source of self-control, the basis for the trust that is imperative in today’s Air Force and Space Force. It is doing the right thing when nobody is looking.

Service Before Self: Service in the Air Force and Space Force is not just another job. It is an uncommon profession that calls for people of uncommon dedication. A leader unwilling to sacrifice individual goals for the good of the unit cannot convince other members to do so.

Excellence in All We Do: Our mission often involves the risk of human life—and sometimes national survival. The obligation to excel is a moral obligation for members of the Air Force and Space Force.

Mission

Air Force ROTC's mission is to develop quality leaders for the Air Force and Space Force. We recruit, educate and commission officer candidates through college campus programs based on Air Force and Space Force requirements.

United States Air Force Mission: Fly, Fight, and Win...Airpower Anytime, Anywhere.

United States Space Force Mission: Conduct global space operations that enhance the way our joint and coalition forces fight, while also offering decision makers military options to achieve national objectives.

AFROTC DET 014

You will learn how to manage your time as well as develop better followership and leadership skills needed in any venture. Most AFROTC coursework can be applied toward minor requirements in your academic program. You will learn to work as a part of a team, practice and develop your leadership skills, and satisfaction of mission accomplishment together with your entire team.

This cannot be learned overnight but is developed through academic classes, physical training sessions, and a leadership laboratory.

AFROTC is an excellent way to complement your college lifestyle without dominating it. You will still have time for a job, to join a sorority/fraternity or join other social clubs. Interested? Contact us!
