2009 Alumni Awards Program & Celebration

The University of West Florida National Alumni Association has an Annual Awards and Recognition Program for those who make a difference to the National Alumni Association, the university and/or their respective communities. Those eligible for nomination include alumni, friends, faculty and staff of the university.

The 2009 alumni award winners were announced during the Annual Awards Program and Celebration which was held April 4 during Festival on the Green. The awards are given each year in recognition of those who work to help and promote the university, the alumni association and the more than 61,000 UWF alumni. Mollye Barrows, ’96, BA Communication Arts served as this year's program’s emcee. This year's award recipients are as follows:

Honorary Alumnus - Bill Healey, Dr. Dean Van Galen

Outstanding Young Alumnus - Kelly Addington, '98; Mollye Barrows, '96; Charlene Mauro, '97

Distinguished Alumnus - Nathan Botts, '73; Terry Conner, '73; Nick DeVillo, '94; Christopher McFarland; '04, '05; Tim Mosteferis, '84
