The University of West Florida Leisure Learning Society (LLS) offers social and educational opportunities for everyone 55 and older in an academic setting among peers. LLS offers a variety of classes, Lunch 'N' Learn programs, excursions, special events and arrangements for member attendance at community events, as well as leadership opportunities. The Leisure Learning Society originated in April 1996 as an Institute of Learning in Retirement, and is a peer-learning, member-driven organization.
