Student interns
NRCS is looking for student interns for next summer. Qualified students who are interested would work in an NRCS field office, somewhere in the state, starting next summer. The intern program gives a student good, real world experience and can lead to employment with NRCS.
The agency is primarily looking for student early in their academic career, freshmen of sophmores, who are interested in a career in conservation or soil science. Another agency concern is trying to increase the diversity of our workforce. Currently, African Americans, Hispanics, Asains, and females of any ethnic background or heritage are under-represented in NRCS here in Florida.
