Reigniting Enthusiasm for Teaching: Paige Porter

With a master’s degree and more than 30 years of experience in TESOL, Paige Porter has dedicated her career to helping students succeed. Two years ago, she decided to take her passion for education in a new direction, becoming a middle school teacher at Wyoming Classical Academy.

“TeacherReady is helping me achieve my goal of becoming an excellent instructor,” Paige shared. “They’ve partnered with trainers who helped me study for and pass the FTCE exams. TeacherReady provides videos and reading materials that contain salient information on best practices.”

Through the TeacherReady program, Paige has gained tools that have made a difference in her classroom. She has incorporated action statements as daily instructional goals and focuses on providing immediate, constructive feedback. These strategies have led to more meaningful student engagement and stronger academic growth.

“I’ve seen such positive results,” says Paige. “Students are willing to make corrections and demonstrate understanding in any subject area. My students are excited to learn, share and show they understand.”

Reflecting on her journey, Paige credits TeacherReady with helping her grow as an educator. “I have found great value in TeacherReady,” she said. “Thank you for helping me teach our future generations.”
