Student requirements for the UWF Talent Catalyst program.
Eligibility
- Must be a full-time enrolled UWF student.
- Willing to work part-time during the school year and full-time after graduation.
- Commit to 1-2 hours per week on professional development.
Requirements and Commitments
- Work Experience: Work part-time (10-25 hours/week) for a Strategic Business Partner employer for at least one year. Earn an hourly wage paid directly to you.
- Classes: Continue taking classes to pursue your bachelor's degree.
- Mentoring: Meet with a business mentor (1-2 hours/month) at their workplace or other business venue. Mentors provide guidance on company culture, career paths, and personal growth. Students drive the mentor-mentee relationship and take an active role in planning/coordinating meeting times.
- Events and Meetings Hosted by Program: Students will attend planned events and meetings.
- Professional Development: Participate in 16 hours of essential professional skills training per semester, a mix of in-person and virtual sessions focusing on key competencies such as communication, critical thinking, leadership, professionalism and teamwork.
