Student requirements for the UWF Talent Catalyst program.


Eligibility

  • Must be a full-time UWF undergraduate student.
  • Willing to work part-time during the school year and full-time after graduation.
  • Commit to 1-2 hours per week on professional development.

Requirements and Commitments

  • Work Experience: Work part-time (10-25 hours/week) for a Strategic Business Partner employer for at least one year. Earn an hourly wage paid directly to you.
  • Classes: Continue taking classes to pursue your bachelor's degree.
  • Mentoring: Meet with a business mentor (1-2 hours/month) at their workplace or other business venue. Mentors provide guidance on company culture, career paths, and personal growth. Students drive the mentor-mentee relationship and take an active role in planning/coordinating meeting times.
  • Events and Meetings Hosted by Program: Students will attend planned events and meetings.
  • Professional Development: Participate in 16 hours of essential professional skills training per semester, a mix of in-person and virtual sessions focusing on key competencies such as communication, critical thinking, leadership, professionalism and teamwork.
