Join us for an exhilarating week filled with camaraderie, competition and community service as we celebrate UWF Founders Week 2026 with the Founders Cup Challenge competition! From Monday, April 13, to Friday, April 17, be prepared for a thrilling lineup of events that will bring out the best in teamwork, strategy and service.
Founders Cup Challenge Teams
UWF faculty and staff members can form teams with up to five members. Team members do not have to be from the same department (student employees can participate on a team but must be currently employed by UWF). Create a unique team name and select all of the events your team would like to participate in during the registration process. Teams will earn points for each activity in which they participate. Teams can earn extra points for winning the mini-competitions and awards listed below. Teams must register by Tuesday, April 7. Join us on Friday, April 17, to find out the winners of each mini-competition and the overall Founders Cup Challenge winner!
Founders Cup Challenge Registration
Monday, April 13 - Argos Set Sail
We are kicking-off the week by showing your Argo Spirit. Teams can earn points by participating in these activities.
1.) Door Decorating Competition - All Day
Show your Argo Spirit by decorating a door in your office or building. Teams earn points for decorating one door. Teams can decorate more if they choose, but only one door will be used for judging. The team with the Most Argo Spirited Door Design will win bonus points!
2.) Blue and Green Group Photo - All Day
Dress in your Argo Blue and Green outfit and take a group photo with your team. Post it online and/or submit it via email to universityevents@uwf.edu to receive points.
3.) Founders Cup Step Challenge - Monday-Thursday
Get ready to move with the Founders Cup 4-Day Step Challenge. Track your teams total step count from Monday April 13 to Thursday April 16. Teams must submit their final step count by Thursday at 5pm. points. The team with the most steps will win bonus points!
Tuesday, April 14 - Voyage of Discovery
1.) The Quest for Knowledge Trivia Challenge
Test your Argonaut knowledge at The Quest for Knowledge Trivia Challenge, presented by the UWF Retired Employees Association, as part of this year’s Founders Cup Challenge. Teams will compete in a lively trivia competition to see who knows UWF best. Questions will cover UWF history and traditions, as well as Pensacola trivia and general knowledge, making it a fun and engaging challenge for everyone.
Doors open at 1 p.m., giving teams the chance to mingle with members of the UWF Retired Employees Association and enjoy light refreshments. You might even pick up some exclusive insights that could help you during the competition! Trivia will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Commons Auditorium.
UWF Faculty and Staff Members who are not part of a Founders Cup team are also welcome to join the fun. Interested participants can register for the trivia competition by completing the Trivia Challenge Registration form by Wednesday, April 8, 2026. These participants can participate as an individual or they can form a trivia team with a max of five team members. Team members must be current UWF Faculty, Staff, or Student Employees. Only one registration form is needed for teams.

Wednesday, April 15 - Argos Give Back
1.) Argos Day of Service - Faculty & Staff Project
Argos Day of Service is dedicated to giving back to the community. Sign up for the Faculty and Staff Day of Service project at the UWF Community Garden. Two one-hour shifts are available this year (9 to 10 a.m. or 10 to 11 a.m.). Volunteers will help with planting, weeding and cleanup. Water and snacks provided. Teams earn points if at least two team members volunteer with the Faculty and Staff Day of Service project. *(Points can only be earned by volunteering for the Faculty and Staff Day of Service Project. The Alumni Service Projects will not count towards the competition.)
Not participating in the Founders Cup Challenge? Individual Faculty and Staff members can still sign-up to volunteer for this Day of Service project. Complete the Individual Registration Form by Wednesday, April 8, 2026 to sign up to volunteer!
2.) Fuel the Fleet Food Fight and LEAD with Care Resource Fair
The Fuel the Fleet Food Fight and LEAD with Care Resource Fair challenges faculty, staff and students to see which team can collect the most nonperishable food items to replenish the Argo Pantry. Donations can be dropped off at the Student Wellness Center, Building 960, on Wednesday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Teams earn one point for each item (up to 15 items/15 points) they donate during the Fuel the Fleet Food Fight.
Thursday, April 16 - Investing in the Voyage
1.) Student Symposium and Faculty Research Showcase Volunteering
Teams can earn points for each individual member that volunteers for the UWF Symposium. Points can be earned if at least two team members volunteer with the Symposium on Wednesday (day before Symposium) or Thursday.
Friday, April 17 - Charting Our Legacy
1.) Founders Cup Mini Competitions
Join us on Friday, April 17, at 10:30 a.m. for the Founders Cup Mini Competitions at the Pedagogy Gym in the HLS Building. Teams will receive points for competing in the overall event and the winning teams for each mini competition will receive bonus points. The winners for the Founders Cup Challenge competition will be announced after the mini competitions.
