Biography

Major Milton L. Lewis II, a native of Lakeland, Florida, was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps in October 2009. He currently serves as the Professor of Military Science for the Argonaut Battalion, where he is responsible for developing and mentoring the next generation of Army Officers.

Throughout his Army career, Major Lewis has held a variety of leadership and intelligence positions both in the United States and overseas. His assignments have included service as a Foreign Military Sales Program Manager in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Intelligence Officer with the 177th Combined Arms Training Brigade, Company Commander with the 1st Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade, Brigade Assistant Intelligence Officer in Kuwait, Task Force Operations Officer in Iraq, 1-4 Cavalry Squadron Intelligence Officer, 304th MI Battalion Adjutant, and Intelligence Analyst supporting U.S. Special Operations forces in Afghanistan.

Major Lewis is a graduate of the Officer Candidate School, Military Intelligence Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Intelligence in Combating Terrorism Course, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Synchronization Manager Course, Signal Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Officer Course, and the Army Command and General Staff College.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Florida A&M University and a Master of Science in Sport Management with a concentration in Sport Event Security from The University of Southern Mississippi.

His military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service and Expeditionary Medals, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, NATO Medal, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, and the Combat Action Badge.

Major Lewis and his wife, Malia-Jaye, have been married for 27 years. Together they have four children: Ilima, Miles, Tristan, and Eva.
