The Office of Military Services at the University of West Florida brings together the Army and Air Force ROTC programs with the Military and Veterans Resource Center under the Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis and Overholtz Center for Leadership.
Led by executive director Dr. Andrew Del Gaudio, the Office of Military Services provides world-class support to educate and train future military leaders of character through ROTC programs while assisting veterans and military families in their transition to civilian life and higher education by fostering a cohesive environment that enhances academic and leadership development for those who serve or have served our nation.
Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz Center for Leadership
The Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz Center for Leadership seeks to be the premier leadership education resource in the Southeast for executive and developing leaders across the business, government and public spectrum.
The core tenets of successful leadership have always rung true. However, as societal norms have changed, how we implement successful leadership has also changed. Our programs will build leaders that possess the necessary skills to meet the challenges in their daily lives, and with the confidence to think boldly for the future.
The center oversees the Army and Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps programs alongside the Military and Veterans Resource Center.
The UWF Military and Veterans Resource Center serves as the leading campus advocate for military, dependent and veteran students.
Air Force ROTC offers the professional minded student a highly rewarding opportunity to be part of the finest aerospace power in the world.

UWF named No. 1 education employer by Military Times, ranks No. 15 nationally on “Best for Vets” list
The University of West Florida has been ranked No. 15 on the national Best for Vets: Colleges list and No. 1 on the Best for Vets: Education Employers list released by Military Times. UWF also ranked No. 3 among all Florida institutions and No. 1 in the State University System of Florida.
UWF Center for Cybersecurity receives record-breaking $9.6M federal grant
The University of West Florida Center for Cybersecurity has been awarded a $9.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of War CIO Cyber Academic Engagement Office to expand the National Cybersecurity Workforce Development program. This is the largest federal grant awarded to the University to date.

The University of West Florida earned its highest position to date in the U.S. News and World Report’s 2026 Best College rankings, placing No. 6 among Top Public Schools – Regional South. This marks the University’s fourth consecutive year in the top 10 public institutions in the region.
