Biography

Lieutenant Colonel J. Michael Eisenlohr is a native of Dallas, Texas. He was commissioned in 2007 as an Armor Lieutenant from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a BS in Military History. He is currently assigned the Professor of Military Science for Army ROTC at the University of West Florida in Pensacola.

His command and leadership assignments include Scout Platoon Leader and Troop Executive Officer, 4th Squadron, 7th U.S. Cavalry Regiment, at Camp Hovey, Republic of Korea. Scout Platoon Leader and Headquarters and Headquarters Troop Executive Officer, 3rd Squadron, 7th U.S. Cavalry Regiment at Fort Stewart, Georgia & FOB Diamondback, Mosul Iraq. Cavalry Troop Commander, Comanche Troop, 2nd Squadron, 14th U.S. Cavalry Regiment at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Commander Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Tactical Officer, Company E, 3rd Regiment, United States Corps of Cadets, at West Point, New York.

LTC Eisenlohr’s staff assignments include Chief of Current Operations, 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Operations Officer, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry, Fort Hood (known as Fort Cavazos since 2023), Texas. Operations Officer, 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. XM30 Requirements Officer, Next Generation Combat Vehicles Cross Functional Team, Army Futures Command, Detroit, Michigan.

LTC Eisenlohr's Military schools include the Armor Officer's Basic Course, the Scout Leader Course, the Maneuver Captain's Career Course, the United States Army Command and General Staff College. He holds a Masters of Arts degree in Organizational Psychology and Leadership from Columbia University, New York.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medals, Iraq Campaign Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, the Parachutist and Air Assault Badges and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.

He is married to Mrs. Lindsey Eisenlohr of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, they have two children – Evelyn and Benjamin.
