Claire Fountain
- Licensed Psychotherapist, Yoga Instructor
Biography
Claire Fountain is a licensed psychotherapist, yoga instructor and writer whose honest approach to health embodies the union of authenticity, humanist theory and everyday practice. Claire began teaching yoga in 2009 while continuing her studies in mindfulness and embodiment. With clients ranging from the top NBA, NFL and MLB athletes, musicians and tastemakers, to the likes of brands such as Amazon and Target, Claire’s unorthodox and realistic approach to yoga and mental health is grounded in education and experience. Her work focuses on the intersection of well-being, somatic healing, self-worth, the stories we tell ourselves and women’s wellness. Claire’s work ranges from private clients, a dozen e-books and articles, to international classes and speaking engagements.
She is the human behind the handle of @cbquality, where she has garnered hundreds of thousands of actively engaged followers across social media platforms. Her work as an influencer centers on being a professional helper, providing resources and reflections for mental and physical well-being while sharing parts of her own story and approach to thoughtful living.
Claire obtained her psychology degree from Vassar College and is certified in yoga and personal training. She received her graduate degree in mental health counseling with honors from Wake Forest University and is now a licensed mental health provider in Florida and an NCPS-accredited counselor in the UK. Claire is trained in EMDR and uses a hybrid mind-body approach with clients. Claire’s life experiences have informed her work with specialties in body image, sexual trauma, PTSD, feminist theory and wellness as a human right.
When she is not working on breaking stereotypes in wellness, Claire can be found reading, making vision boards, listening to music, planning trips with her loved ones or utilizing rest as the highest form of self-care.
