At the University of West Florida, affordability starts with some of the nation's lowest tuition rates and generous financial aid opportunities. UWF is ranked as one of the top three public universities in Florida by the Florida Board of Governors and offers a personalized experience where professors know your name. If you’ve got what it takes to be an Argo, we want to work with you to make your college education more affordable.
UWF gives automatic consideration for merit-based scholarships once you complete your freshman admissions application for Fall or Summer 2026 by the Dec. 1, 2025, Freshman Scholarship Priority Consideration Deadline. UWF must receive all required application items by the deadline. All high school seniors must use the freshman application regardless of college credit.
The following scholarship consideration guidelines indicate the potential cumulative total award over the course of four years or until the completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever comes first. Scholarship coverage excludes summer terms. Eligibility does not guarantee an award. Admissions can award students only one academic merit or full-ride scholarship; scholarships may not be combined. Students who have already earned a bachelor's degree will not receive priority scholarship consideration. Residency status is based on residency for tuition purposes as defined in the UWF catalog.
