Want To Get Involved?
Leisure Learning is always looking for knowledgeable individuals to share their expertise with our members in all subject matters including hobbies and interests. Instructors are all volunteers. You will find teaching for our program a gratifying experience as our students are very attentive.
Teach a Leisure Learning Class
- Do You Have: Special interests that you can share with others? OR Background as a teacher or professor in a subject that might be of interest to others?
- Do You Know: Fascinating businesses who would welcome tours of their facilities? OR Others who have special interests and would be willing to teach?
If you answered “YES!” to any of these questions, complete the course proposal form or contact the Leisure Learning office to set up a new class 850.474.3491.
Become a Leisure Learning Liaison
Leisure Learning is growing at an exciting rate. This has presented a fantastic opportunity for you to become more involved in the classes you are already attending!
The best part — you will only be contacted for classes that you are already attending. This is an easy way to be involved and get to know your fellow Leisure Learners.
Primary Liaison duties include:
- Taking attendance
- Introducing speakers
- Delivering announcements
- Ensuring class ends on time
We are now accepting volunteer sign-ups for Leisure Learning Liaisons! Contact us at 850.473.7468 or email leisurelearning@uwf.edu.
Join the Curriculum Council
Curriculum Committee members earn a free class for every class they organize. No minimum number required! Responsibilities include attending 2-3 meetings per semester, contacting potential instructors, occasionally take attendance and be a supportive presence in the classroom
