Leisure Learning at the University of West Florida is committed to promoting lifelong learning. We create captivating learning opportunities that connect individuals with their community while exploring new interests and ideas. History
Established in 1996, UWF Leisure Learning has been providing personal growth and engagement opportunities for individuals 55 and better for nearly 30 years. A branch of UWF's Diviso of Continuing Education, members experience high-quality instruction from community professionals, current and retired UWF faculty, business owners, as well as Leisure Learning members with unique skillsets and extensive knowledge.
Leisure Learning members are a mix of full-time community residents as well as plenty of snowbirds, retirees, military and others from interesting, diverse backgrounds all with one thing in common—the desire to learn, grow and improve while having fun!
Membership
UWF Leisure Learning provides an environment for lifelong learners looking to discover community involvement and educational opportunities. Membership provides opportunities to:
- Expand your skill set in a variety of subject areas.
- Explore the local area through day trips, private tours and exclusive experiences.
- Attend courses led by university professors, community leaders, professionals and other intellectuals in their fields.
- Participate in discussions across topics from current global affairs to psychology to changes and new developments in our local community.
