Maryjane Gardner

Biography

Maryjane Gardner is a passionate librarian and yearbook adviser at Tate High School who knows how to make stories come to life, both on the page and in real life. She has been educating students since 2018, and before stepping into education, she spent 13 years in the fast-paced world of sports communications for both Florida State Athletics and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

A proud Florida State alum, Maryjane holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature and a master's in Sports Management. She was recently named Escambia County Librarian of the Year for the 2025-26 school year, an honor that highlights her dedication to students and literacy.

When she is not in the library or working on the yearbook, Maryjane loves spending time with her nieces and family, getting lost in a great book, and building creative Lego masterpieces. She is also the creator behind Maryjane's Missing Pieces, where she designs her own unique earrings.

She is excited for a summer full of creativity, fun activities, and making great memories, so get ready because Maryjane brings energy, imagination, and a love of learning wherever she goes!
