Dorothy Wallace

Biography

With 20 years of experience in K-5 education and a newly completed Master’s degree in Special Education, Dorothy looks forward to working with Explore Camps for her fourth year. She highlights that her career has been defined by a passion for inclusion, having spent nine years dedicated to ensuring that every student, regardless of their learning style, feels empowered to succeed.

"I believe that the best learning occurs when we step outside our comfort zones, and I’m always the first to jump in and try new activities alongside my campers. Whether I’m leading a STEM project or an outdoor adventure, my goal is to create an environment where every child feels seen and supported," says Dorothy. "When I’m not at camp, you can usually find me lost in a great book or catching up on the latest in sci-fi. I can’t wait to bring my experience and enthusiasm back to the Explore Camps community this summer!"
