Biography

Dr. Micah Grant has worked professionally in corporate accounting, public accounting, governmental accounting, and real estate/construction. He teaches courses such as Cost Accounting, Accounting Theory, and Seminar in Financial Accounting.

Micah’s research interest include various aspects of accounting, including but not limited to cost/managerial, theory, pedagogical, generational studies, and research that helps bridge the gap between academia and practice. Along with prior publishing, his paper presented at the 2018 Global Conference on Business and Finance won the Best in Session Award.

Micah received his Doctorate of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of South Florida, and his Masters of Accountancy from Auburn University. Micah is a licensed CPA in the state of Georgia. Prior to joining UWF, Micah was named Teaching Professor of the Year, and he served on various committees such as Faculty Senate, the Academic Policy Committee, and the University Hearing Panel. Micah also served as faculty advisor of the Accounting Club and led accounting internships.
