Community & Outreach

The College of Education and Professional Studies is committed to community partnerships and service through meaningful activities.
In our College, we prepare students to become public servants and contributors to positive change in our communities. We like to call ourselves the difference makers.
These contributions manifest in various ways. Through the CORAL Center, the College provides research expertise to community organizations, allowing these organizations to empirically measure effective interventions.
The National Writing Project inspires K-12 educators in the region through collaboration and the exploration of reading, writing and technological tools necessary for success in the classrooms of today and tomorrow.
The College of Education and Professional Studies offers a variety of majors that prepare students to make an impact in our communities as teachers, social workers, legal professionals, criminal justice practitioners, building industry and sport managers, among many others, and students make an impact through field experiences with our partners both regionally and across the nation.
