UWF SCUBA Club

The aim of the UWF SCUBA Club is to promote the sport of SCUBA Diving amongst the students of UWF.

The defining purpose of the UWF SCUBA Club is to promote the sport of SCUBA diving through group participation, safety presentations, special presentations, and related recreational activities for the benefit of both the club members and the university community. UWF SCUBA Club aims to expose the student population to various underwater environments, while emphasizing preservation, conservation, and safety. The club’s largest benefit to students is in providing those who are certified divers contact with other divers, quality equipment, and safety information. We also strive to make affordable training in the sport available to those interested in dive certifications. Divers seeking to preserve our underwater resources pioneered much of the earliest work done in underwater ecosystem preservation. In this tradition, our secondary purpose is to help maintain and enhance the health of the aquatic environment. This is achieved through clean-ups of wetlands, beaches, and underwater areas themselves. We do not have dues to be a member, however, to become a full member with access to rent gear and get discounts at our local dive shop, DivePros, we do require dues of $20 for the semesters or $35 for the year if paid in the fall. Year dues are valid through summer.
