Dance Club
The purpose of the UWF Dance Club is to unite and support the school in spirit by dancing at as many performances as possible.
The purpose of the UWF Dance Club is to unite and support the school in spirit by dancing at as many performances as possible. We want to bring joy and unity to the school as we show our support. Club members will be invited to participate at local events within the community and campus events. Team members are required to perform at all sporting events, campus events, and community events where the dance team is in attendance. The team will also perform in a few competitions and conventions throughout the year; these are usually local.
Being a member of the team requires a commitment of roughly 9 hours of rehearsal/conditioning a week plus several performances. Being a Dance Club member requires no commitment and is only 1 hour of rehearsal a week.

Auditions
Auditions are held once a semester in fall and spring on the last three days. Participants will learn choreography and technique for two days, and on the third, audition in front of a panel of judges. Specific requirements/commitments vary per season and are finalized and explicitly stated in the tryout packet that those wishing to audition must fill out and submit prior to the first day of auditions. Email our club president for more information.
Dues
For the team, it is $50 per semester. The club is $5 per semester. Dues and the budget allocated to our club through Sports Clubs are used to purchase costumes. These costumes are the property of the school/club and are administered for performances by team or club, and then immediately collected after the event. Occasionally, team members will be required to purchase items such as sideline shoes/tights/cosmetics/etc. These items/expenses are outlined in the contract that is signed after individuals audition and make the team.
