Center for Global Online Learning and Development
We are the Center for Global Online Learning and Development
As the central agent for online learning at UWF, we transform lives by making a high-quality UWF education available to anyone, anywhere, anytime through the innovative use of technology.
Teaching is different now, and Global Online is here to support you.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives and how we teach and connect to our students. This is also an amazing opportunity to re-examine how we present our classes under a new lens. The purpose of the Fall 2020 Online Resource Guide is to give you a base-line for the biggest questions you’re facing as you navigate this new chapter in higher education.
Highlights from the Guide
- Update and review your syllabus using our revised and updated Syllabus Template for Fall 2020. The template has been reviewed and revised by various campus partners to ensure accuracy.
- Use the GO ACT Template to start developing your course.
- Import Ready to GO Modules to help orient your students, incorporate technology, develop creative assignments, and use pre-made elements to support your course design. These modules include ready-made sample assignments, instructor notes for implementation, and resources and technology guides for students on topics like group work, using Panopto for student presentations, and academic integrity resources from the UWF Library.
- UWF faculty, graduate assistants, and teaching assistants can log in for on-demand support in the Global Online Support for Online Instruction WebEx room. The room is available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
