CUTLA NEWS
Document the Impact of COVID-19 on Academic Work
Join us Friday, April 2, from 2:30-3:30 PM, to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on academic work.
Faculty are encouraged to include a statement of the impact of COVID-19 in annual evaluations, tenure dossiers, and other formal review portfolios. An impact statement should document and explain how a faculty member’s academic work was changed by COVID-19. Impact statements provide context for future reviewers of faculty work.
Document the Impact of COVID-19 (UWF 2021) suggests topics and issues faculty might discuss in their impact statement, with suggestions related to teaching, scholarship, and service. The document includes links to several useful institutional websites that discuss the content and purpose of a COVID-19 impact statement.
