Shaun Boren has been playing and working in the outdoors as long as he can remember, but he realized he could combine the two during undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary. He finished a BS in Biology while gathering outdoor education experience leading him to a graduate program at the University of New Hampshire, where he completed an MS in Outdoor Education while starting the Outdoor Recreation Program. He spent a year managing a private climbing gym before coming here to become the first professional staff person devoted solely to Outdoor Adventures at UWF in 2005. Shaun also teaches several courses for Health, Leisure, & Exercise Science, and is pursuing his EdD at UWF, giving the unusual distinction of faculty, staff, and student.

Whenever Shaun isn't in the great outdoors you might find him playing guitar, piano, or drums, or spending time with his wife Krista, also known as the Assistant Director of Housing & Residence Life.
