YES! A student cannot be admitted to the MBA Program nor take Core Classes until they take the GMAT and score a 450 or better. Only Accelerated Foundations courses can be taken without a GMAT score filed.
Can the GRE be substituted for the GMAT?
NO. In order to be admitted to the MBA Program a student must take the GMAT and score a 450 or better.
What are the Accelerated Foundations Courses?
Accelerated Foundations provide a series of intensive weekend modules that cover the essential knowledge areas required to enter the Finish in Five Program. These cover such areas as Financial Management, Statistics, Management, Marketing, and Management Information Systems.
The Finish in Five Program allows the qualified student an opportunity to complete their MBA in five semesters, with guaranteed course availability. In addition, you complete your classes with a cohort of working professionals from education, government, industry and military.
Do I have to take prerequisites?
Prerequisite or Foundational courses may be required by students who have graduated from a non-AACSB International school, if course work is greater than 5 years old, and if grades of a "B" or better were not obtained in the foundational requirement areas. Can I transfer graduate classes from my other school?
The maximum number of hours that may be transferred into the MBA Program is 6 semester hours. Each course is reviewed on a case by case basis to determine if it is an acceptable substitution for the UWF MBA course. A syllabus and course description is required to help make this determination.
