Requests for Rent Deferments must be submitted by the resident student only. A deferment is a short-term delay of no more than 30 days past Fee Payment Deadline of the UWF published semester Fee Payment Deadline, to pay your rental fees for housing. We do not offer monthly payments. Questions can be directed to our office at 850-474-2463.

Terms and Conditions:

• Resident Students who receive UWF Financial Aid, Florida Prepaid Dormitory Plan, or Bright Futures Scholarship for Housing and the amount is sufficient to cover your rent in full do not need to submit this form.
• Resident Students who receive private loans, family assistance or are independent or self supporting must submit this form before posted University Fee Payment Deadline. This status may require an appointment. You will be contacted via your Argus e-mail with details.
• Rent deferment must be requested through this online form. You will be notified via e-mail if your request is either approved, denied or if additional information is needed. Please be prepared to make an appointment.
• Rent deferment must be granted during the regular fee payment period or before Fee Payment Deadline.
• During the authorized deferment time period, the rental fees for housing remain due on the student's account.
• Failure to pay all rental fees or receive authorized deferred payment status by the fee payment deadline will result in posting of late fees.
• Any balance due by the student over and beyond the amount that can be covered by available financial aid is the responsibility of the student.
