When is Family Weekend?
Family Weekend will be held on October 11-13, 2013. Please make plans to arrive no earlier than Friday (October 11th) after 2:00 p.m. We do not want you to miss out on any of the fun!
How do I register for Family Weekend?
What is the registration fee and what does that include?
Pricing for Family Weekend 2013: $40 per adult, $15 for children 7-12yrs. of age, and free for children 6 years old or younger. A package includes admission into all events throughout Family Weekend, Check the Family Weekend site to see a list of the 2012 Family Weekend Schedule of Events
What events can my student attend?
University of West Florida students can attend all activities for free with their family members who have purchased a Family Weekend Package.
When should we plan to arrive? Do families stay for the whole weekend?
Families are encouraged to arrive on Friday (October 11, 2013), after 2:00 p.m. We strongly encourage families to plan a trip back to campus that includes: sight seeing opportunities within the City of Pensacola, a special tour of campus from their student's perspective, and any relaxing activties that include their UWF student. The Family Weekend of Events begins on Friday (October 11, 2013) to Sunday (October 13, 2013). We hope that you would make plans to stay the entire weekend, we're working hard to put on a program that is fun, exciting and family friendly!
Are refunds available?
All Family Weekend packages are non-refundable.
I missed the Family Weekend registration deadline. What can I do?
Registration for Family Weekend closes September 20, 2013. All registrations sent to the Cashier’s Office must be postmarked by September 20, 2013 in order to be processed. If you miss this deadline, we still encourage you to visit your student at the University of West Florida. Events such as the Family Weekend Kick-Off Celebration, the Homecoming Tailgage and Festival, the Presidential State of the University Address and other special family weekend activities will be restricted for all non-Family Weekend participants. However, there will still be a variety of other campus activities to partake in during your stay such as: campus exhibits and events at UWF, and in the surrounding Pensacola community, that are open to the public.
