2008 Schedule
Teacher/Mentor Workshop
The “How to do BEST” workshop is scheduled for the week of August 4 – 8, 9:30AM – 3:00PM. The first four days are offered by UWF Continuing Education for a fee of $300 including lunch. Attendance is not required for participation in the BEST competition. The location will be the UWF Pensacola Campus, Building 70 Room 105. All new Emerald Coast BEST teams are required to send at least one teacher or mentor to the free presentation on Friday, August 8. The free presentation will address BEST award strategies, sources of information, and a review of material covered in the first four days. The location of the Friday presentation will be the UWF Pensacola Campus, Building 70 Room 106. The presentation will also be extended to the Gulf Coast College, Library, Room 104, via interactive teleconference.
Kickoff
Saturday, September 6, 2008, Noon to 4:00 PM, UWF Field House. Game Rules will be released and material kits will be distributed to team representatives.
Practice Driving
Saturday, October 11, 2008 Noon to 4:00 PM, UWF Conference Center.
Competition
Saturday, October 18, 2008, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, UWF Field House.
