WUWF Membership For over 25 years, WUWF 88.1 FM has served the Gulf Coast community with a wide variety of local, national and international programming, designed to keep you informed and entertained, all in a commercial free environment. It is the mission of WUWF Public Media to create, acquire, and distribute audio and video content through broadcast, web, and community outreach that educates, informs and enlightens the citizens of Northwest Florida and South Alabama. We are now operating our FM station in HD, giving us the opportunity to multicast, which means we actually have two radio channels available for those listeners who have upgraded to HD receivers. Additionally, WUWF TV which launched in 2003, can be seen on Cox Cable Channel 4 in Escambia County. Individual contributions and business sponsorships make up 46% of WUWF’s annual budget; everything you hear on 88.1 FM is made possible by you.
