Welcome to the website for the Department of Exercise Science and Community Health at the University of West Florida. I hope you will find this site useful in learning more about our dynamic and multifaceted department.
This is a truly exciting period in the history of the department. We continue to experience significant growth and are enjoying new collaborations as being part of the new UWF College of Health. Our updated labs and facilities provide our students with site state-of-the-art opportunities that few universities can provide.
ESCH is home to programs that focus on the practical and scientific practice and understanding within the exercise science, fitness, sports medicine, and health promotion domains. Our undergraduate programs include Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Fitness and Condition, and Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE).
Our graduate programs include Masters of Science (M.S.) in Exercise Science or Physical Education and Masters of Science (M.S.) in Health Promotion, as well as Masters of Science in Administration (M.S.A.) in Health Care Administration and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program in Physical Education and Health. Students participating in our Exercise Science or Athletic Training program may apply to the newly added Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
As you look through our website at these various programs, please take time to learn about the quality of our faculty and our special program characteristics that set us apart from other schools.
