Dr. Eric D. Bostwick is an Associate Professor whose research includes financial accounting, accounting theory, ethics and behavioral aspects of accounting.

Bostwick’s research includes studies of goodwill, lease capitalization techniques, fair value, lease accounting and faithful representation, and professional affiliation bias among accountants and attorneys. He has authored or co-authored numerous articles for such publications as Accounting Horizons, the Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, the Journal of Business Ethics Education, the Christian Business Academy Review,and the Journal of Finance and Accounting.

Bostwick has a broad, active research agenda. Topics range from studies of ethical blind spots in financial executives to the impact of changes in financial standards to a review of the financial records of a small bank that survived the Great Depression.

He earned the UWF Student Government Association Distinguished Teaching Award and the University Faculty Excellence in Teaching award. He has given sessions on becoming a more effective classroom teacher and the effective use of technology in teaching.

Bostwick is a former faculty administrator and administrator at Pensacola Christian College, where his responsibilities included oversight of 1,200 students and 40 faculty members across 14 academic majors.
