First semester general chemistry taught to class sizes of 50-150 students per semester. Emphasis is on physical chemistry, chemical and physical properties, molecular structure and analytical techniques.

This course provides the student with the opportunity to learn safe laboratory techniques that they will build on throughout their career in science.
