The On-Line Mentoring Program

Career Services offers on-line mentoring meant to assist students in learning more about their career choices. Students can go on-line to their JasonQuest account and search for a mentor, who shares the student’s major or career goals . The mentor database is made up of University of West Florida alumni who have agreed to allow students to contact them through email. Alum may also agree to do informational interviews, host job shadows and speak to organizations.

LinkedIn is a professional networking site that offers people the opportunity to exchange knowledge, ideas, and opportunities with trusted contacts and group members. Career Services offers a professional networking group on LinkedIn to encourage students and alumni of the University of West Florida to network with one another. Join this group if you are a student who is interested in networking with alumni, or if you are an alumni who is interested in networking with current UWF students. Networking will give students and alumni the opportunity to discuss and learn from each other about career paths/ interests and possible job opportunities in their field.
