The highest priority of The University of West Florida is its students and the integrity of the academic programs that serve them. UWF has served more than 100,000 students from all over the world and currently enrolls more than 10,200 students in its College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and College of Professional Studies. Although a diverse campus, UWF continues to have a high commitment to its region. Over 80% of the current students who attend UWF are Florida residents.
In addition to the main campus in Pensacola, The University operates the Fort Walton Beach Campus, the Eglin Air Force Base Center, and offices at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Hurlburt Field, and Whiting Field. Students are offered bachelor’s degrees in 42 disciplines, multiple master’s degrees, and specialist’s and doctoral degrees in education. Coursework for many programs is available on-line or through distance learning classrooms linking the main and branch campuses.
Understanding that learning and development also occurs outside of the classroom, UWF coordinates over 100 registered student organizations in a variety of areas including Academic, Professional, Greek, Honor, Religious, and Special Interest.
As a leader in its commitment toward incorporating students' academic studies with community service the university offers service learning through Volunteer UWF. Participating students earn credit for volunteer service.
