Kiersten Jarvis joined the Advising Center and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in 2010. She is an experienced advisor for college level students, and her most recent position was at the University of North Florida where she worked as the graduate admissions coordinator and later as the assistant director of the Graduate School for four years. In her four years at UNF, Jarvis advised graduate students on degree program selection, programs of study, admission policies, served the Dean and Director of the School, and provided student support services for the University.
As an academic advisor at UWF, Mrs. Jarvis is responsible for teaching the Academic Foundations Seminar, and advising freshman students on course and major selection.
The 2005 graduate of the University of Florida attended UWF for her graduate work, and she finished in 2007 with a master's degree in psychology. Mrs. Jarvis is very passionate about her work with students and enjoys providing the tools necessary for them to succeed in and out of the classroom.
