Residents in Southside can the access the Internet through
ArgoAir, the university's wireless network.
To use ArgoAir, your computer must support 802.11b or 802.11g wireless networking. This is typically done with a wireless or
Wi-Fi card. In addition, your wireless connection must support 128-bit WEP and 802.1x authentication; most newer computers,
particularly those with Windows XP have support for 802.1x built-in. Residents with older computers, however, may need to
purchase or install additional software to access ArgoAir on campus.
*notice*
Residents should be aware that while on Argo Air, activities may be limited. Extra security measures must be taken
on the wireless network so many students will notice that they may be unable to play online games or use video chat while connected
to the wireless network.
