If you are new to ResNet, please follow these directions to ensure your ResNet connection remains active and your computer remains safe.
Failure to install antivirus software and update Windows regularly may result in deactivation of your ResNet port.
What is ResNet?
ResNet is the computer network for the Argo Hall, Martin Hall, Pace Hall, and the University Village Student Apartments. Supported by students
and staff from the Office of Housing and Residence Life, Information Technology Services (ITS), and Telecommunications, ResNet gives residents high-speed
access to the University computer network and, through the University network, to the Internet.
What can I do with ResNet?
In addition to providing access to the Internet, ResNet also provides access to ArgoNet, the intranet of the University, where you can:
Access online class assignments, syllabi, and discussion boards at eLearning.uwf.edu
View grades, check on financial aid status, sign up for classes, and pay
tuition and fees (including Housing fees) on ARGUS
How do I use ResNet?
Almost any relatively new computer with an Ethernet port and 15-20 feet of
Category 5 Ethernet cable can be connected to ResNet. For more information,
including configuration guides, please see Getting Connected.
