ABET Accreditation
Our B.S. in Electrical Engineering program and our B.S. in Computer Engineering program are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://abet.org. ABET is the recognized global accreditor of college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering and engineering technology and is among the most respected accreditation organizations in the United States.
ABET accreditation is assurance that a program meets the quality standards established by the profession for which it prepares its students.
Which path will you take: Electrical or Computer?
UWF engineering students are taught in well-equipped facilities by energetic and approachable professors dedicated to superior teaching and hands-on experience. With two locations (Pensacola Campus and Emerald Coast location at Fort Walton Beach), students have many opportunities to engage in internship and research activities as well as three specializations to choose from.
Electrical
Electrical Engineering (EE) utilizes all phases of development and properties of electric energy. Our ABET-accredited BSEE degree prepares students to specialize in areas such as electronics, robotics, electronic-based communications, signal and image processing, controls, and power systems
Computer Engineering
Computer Engineering (CE) employs the development of computer hardware and software solutions for today's emerging technologies. Our ABET-accredited BSCE provides students with a strong background in engineering analysis, design, and implementation skills necessary to succeed in the workplace.
Matching Donation
One endowment. Endless opportunities.
HMCSE students need your support. Thanks to a generous matching gift from Drs. Muhammad and Fatema Rashid, all gifts made to the STEM scholarship for females and first-generation students by this Fall will be matched up to 50,000 dollars to create a $100K endowment that will benefit STEM students for years to come.
