Annette Claire Bosse’ Nursing scholarship
The Nursing department will select award recipients for scholarships of $1,000 per Fall and Spring semester. Preference will be given to military veterans, spouses of active duty or military veterans, and the dependent children of a deceased, active duty or military veteran who demonstrates leadership capability and a commitment to service.
This scholarship is in memory of Annette Claire Bosse who married when she was 17 years old, had 8 children in a 13-year span, and took remedial classes to improve her chances of becoming a nurse once her youngest child was in middle school. Annette excelled at Pensacola Junior College, graduating from their nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Unfortunately, she passed away from Ovarian Cancer when she was only 49, but her last few years having realized her dream of becoming a nurse and working at Sacred Heart Hospital were some of the most fulfilling years of her life.
