- Director of Communications and Special Projects, University Advancement
Claire Stewart is the Director of Communications and Special Projects for the division of University Advancement and comes to UWF with ten years of marketing, communications and higher education experience. In her role in University Advancement, she acts as a communications conduit for the UWF Historic Trust, UWF Foundation, WUWF Media, Alumni Relations, Development and the Institutional Communications team. She specializes in communications planning, social media and communications strategy, marketing and advertising.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Alabama in professional writing with a minor in marketing and a minor in Spanish. While at UNA, Claire was a member of the Honors Program and studied abroad in Perú. After completing her degree, Claire worked at A. Tomlinson/Sims Advertising in Florence, Alabama as the Features Director of No’Ala Magazine. In 2014, Claire moved to Pensacola and began working at Columbia Southern Education Group (CSEG) as the Social Media and Email Marketing Specialist for the organization. In 2016, Claire became the Senior Marketing Manager at CSEG.
Claire completed her Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in marketing from Columbia Southern University in 2019.
