These scholarships are for single parents with dependent children (one or more living with the parent) who are full-time students pursuing a graduate degree in Psychology. A cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale is required along with a minimum of 9 coursework hours remaining in their program and financial need. Awards of $500 to $1,250 per semester for tuition and matriculation fees (excluding summer) are available.

We are notified of your Bright Futures eligibility when you complete the Florida Financial Aid Application, however you must list UWF as the institution you plan to attend. You may add or update this information on the State of Florida's website or by calling the State at 888.827.2004.
Florida Bright Futures is a merit-based scholarship for Florida residents who graduate from a Florida high school. Contact your high school guidance counselor to determine your eligibility.
- Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) - $211.23 per credit hour (fall/spring/summer)
- Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) - $158.42 per credit hour (fall/spring/summer)
- Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars: NOT AVAILABLE AT STATE UNIVERSITIES FOR NEW STUDENTS
- Students are required to repay the Bright Futures award for any course withdrawal.

A FAS or FMS scholarship recipient, who graduates with a baccalaureate degree in seven or fewer semesters, or in 105 semester hours or fewer, may receive funding for one semester of graduate study, not to exceed 15 credit hours paid at the undergraduate rate. Graduate school funding must be used within the student's five year award timeframe (within five years from high school graduation).

Bookstore Scholarship
- Undergraduate, Full-time students (minimum 12 hours fall and spring, 9 hours summer)
- GPA of 2.5 or greater
John C. Pace, Jr. Scholarship
- Awarded to new graduate students upon initial admission to the program
- Scholarship recipients must register for at least six (6) graduate credit hours each semester
- Must maintain a graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Submit a personal statement reflecting on past academic achievements and how the student will be enhanced through the graduate school experience
Graduate Merit Scholarship
- Awarded to new graduate students
- Scholarship recipients must register for at least six (6) graduate credit hours each semester
- Must maintain a graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Submit a personal statement reflecting on past academic achievements and how the student will be enhanced through the graduate school experience
Graduate Fellowship Scholarship
- Awarded to new or continuing graduate students
- Scholarship recipients must register for at least six (6) graduate credit hours each semester
- Must maintain a graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Submit a two page, double-spaced personal statement describing how graduate school will advance your academic or professional work in the respective discipline
Graduate Grant
- Awarded to domestic graduate students (international students are not eligible)
- Scholarship recipients must register for at least six (6) graduate credit hours each semester (including summer semester with the exception of students at the end of their program in thesis/dissertation hours)
- Must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Cannot be enrolled in an OPM program
