Workforce data is information that comes from many different sources - by local, state and federal agencies, as well as by companies, organizations and institutions. Valuable information is gathered from schools and colleges, job training programs, state unemployment records and real-time information from job posting site. Data from any or all of these sources are invaluable tools that facilitate understanding of a region or state’s workforce needs and resources. The Haas Center tracks many indicators of workforce strength and skills, some of which is available as a complimentary data request while other data series may require in-depth applied research studies.
