Amy Newburn received her Master’s in Political Science from the University of West Florida and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. She has worked at the Haas Center since 2013. Mrs. Newburn specializes in survey research, economic impact studies, strategic plans, and community development. Her expertise includes survey work for city and council government agencies, tourism studies, and labor market data. Mrs. Newburn has been the lead project manager for nearly $500,000 of research projects throughout her time at the Haas Center. She aims to communicate key findings in a manner that help to facilitate decision making for the Haas Center's various public, private, and non-profit clients.
Mrs. Newburn is designated as a Certified Economic Research Professional (CERP) by the Council for Community and Economic Research, as well as an active member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research. She is trained by NABE in business applications of statistics and data analytics, as well as SPSS. She was a part of inweekly's 2017 Rising Star class.
