The supply chain logistics management major provides you with the core knowledge you need to recognize, understand and manage logistics and transportation operations and market those services.

What You Will Learn

You will start your studies with a foundation of core business courses on topics such as international business, e-business fundamentals, marketing and management fundamentals.

Specialized coursework will expose you to core supply chain management areas, including domestic and international transportation planning, materials management, finished goods distribution, collaborative planning with customers and suppliers, logistics strategy analysis and creation, import and export freight management, intermodal logistics, freight forwarding, logistics analytics and procurement.

You will become skilled in identifying critical service and cost factors when making business logistics decisions and learn to make the most cost-effective and service-effective supply chain decisions.

You will be involved in hands-on class-based research collaborations to help professionals within industries such as beverage distribution, wind energy, port management and manufacturing identify important solutions to real-world supply chain problems.
