Why Study Accounting at UWF?

You will graduate understanding how accounting affects all areas of business, and you will know how to communicate effectively—a highly coveted skill in the marketplace.

Our faculty are CPA professionals with real-world experience. They will help you connect what you are learning to how you will use that knowledge in the workplace.

The degree is offered face-to-face and fully online.

What You Will Learn

You will begin with the College of Business core courses, which provide a grounding in such areas as business systems, operations, strategy and marketing.

Then you will dive into financial accounting, cost managerial accounting, auditing, accounting information systems, taxation and more. You may also choose an accounting internship.

You will gain problem-solving techniques and communication skills, while learning to identify ethical issues and evaluate alternative courses of action.

The College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, known as AACSB International, something fewer than 4.7% of business schools worldwide can say.

A minor in accounting will provide you with a broad introduction to all functional areas of accounting.
