Assistant VP for Digital Learning Innovation

The Assistant Vice President for Digital Learning Innovation is an exceptional opportunity to impact digital learning at the University of West Florida through UWF Global Online and the Academic Technology Center. Global online learning is still a new market where demand is greater than supply by a 20:1 margin. U.S. institutions continue to grow their U.S. online audience with more than 28 percent of the U.S. student body taking online courses in 2017, up 3.9 percent from last year. At UWF, 62 percent of students took at least one online course with 33 percent of students only taking online courses. The Global Online Learning initiative is designed to expand UWF’s excellence in online education to a larger market while reaching 2,500 new learners through institutional partnerships and other innovative cost-saving models. 

The Assistant Vice President for Digital Learning Innovation provides leadership and direction for growth and innovation of UWF’s online and distance learning programs and initiatives. This administrative officer collaborates closely with UWF’s academic leadership and supervises a staff of nine professionals.
