Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program

Navigating the transition from military to civilian life can be difficult for many veterans. For many, entrepreneurship is a viable next career path as the experience and discipline learned in the military provides a competitive edge for starting a business.

Program Details

The program is an exclusive three-tier entrepreneurial training program that will include:


 A self-paced, online entrepreneurship course that will serve veterans at the early stages of contemplating entrepreneurship. 


A series of workshops covering topics relevant to early stage veteran entrepreneurs.  These workshops are open to any veteran interested in entrepreneurship and will be held on the UWF campus on the following dates:

  • September 9, 2017 – Conference Center
  • October 14, 2017– Conference Center
  • October 28, 2017– Conference Center
  • November 4, 2017– Conference Center
  • December 9, 2017– Conference Center
  • January, 6, 2018 – Commons Auditorium


Advanced intensive study in entrepreneurship for veteran entrepreneurs with vetted business ideas or existing early stage companies (less than 3 years in business) that need to accelerate growth.


  • Active duty within one year of separation
  • Honorably discharged veteran
  • Must reside in Florida

Cost: No cost to qualified veterans or active duty service members.
