Morgan Givens serves as a photographer for the University of West Florida. His photography services at UWF extend to institutional communications, athletics, and much more.
UWF has played a huge role in Morgan’s career and has allowed him to plant deep roots as a student, serving the roles of chief photographer for the office of Athletic Communications until 2018. Morgan also previously served editor-in-chief for UWF’s student newspaper, The Voyager, during its 50th anniversary year.
After graduating in 2018, Morgan began a professional career at his alma mater and in 2019, producing promotional assets as well as cover events for all facets of UWF, including historical events in Argo Athletics. Morgan served as the team photographer for UWF’s football team where, in their fourth year of existence, won its first NCAA Division II National Championship, going 13-2 and defeating four undefeated teams in five weeks in the playoffs, making it one of the greatest runs of all time in college football. Another highlight of 2019 was covering UWF’s softball team during their postseason as they earned a berth in the Division II Women’s College World Series in Denver, Colorado. Morgan has also covered multiple Gulf South Conference Championships for many of UWF’s successful athletic programs.
Morgan also served as a photographer on the official social media team for the College Football Playoff National Championship in January 2020 in New Orleans, where LSU completed a perfect 15-0 season and solidified themselves as one of most dominant teams ever in college football.
When he is not on the sidelines or anywhere else with a camera in his hands, Morgan enjoys spending time with fiance Cynder, and their dogs Hollie and Toby, and two cats, Cig and Maxwell.
