Dr. Claudia Stanny
Claudia J. Stanny is the Director of the Center for University Teaching, Learning, and Assessment and an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of West Florida. She earned her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Florida State University. Claudia has authored and co-authored scholarly articles and chapters on assessment in higher education, faculty development, applied aspects of memory and cognition, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Her recent consultations and conference presentations focus on assessment, faculty development, and scholarship of teaching and learning. She is a member of the editorial board of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Psychology. As Director of CUTLA, Claudia provides consultations and workshops to develop professional skills in faculty, including effective teaching and skill in the creation and use of assessment evidence to evaluate new and existing teaching strategies and curricula.
