You know, from an early age you’re asked what you want to be when you grow up. That can change. You know, it changed when… back just coming out of high school I thought I wanted to be an Architecture major and that’s what… I actually went to a vocational high school. That’s what I studied in high school and I took some classes and in that program I found a GIS class. And I realized how great it was, and the power behind it, and how much… I realized the love that I have for cartography and making maps, and so, I would say just because you… you have to take a class and you don’t think you are interested in it, and you don’t think it’s going to be that great, or, you know, it’s something to… it’s just meeting a requirement. You might actually like that more than you think you would. 

Getting your bachelor’s is part of the road and it opens up other avenues for you, but I think getting your master’s, it shows that you can buckle down and do the work. So, even if there is something else that you want to study, you are not necessarily limited to that… that single path that you’ve already been put on.
