0:00 [upbeat music playing] 0:02 Welcome to campus! At the UWF bookstore, 0:05 we'll be with you from orientation to 0:07 graduation to make sure that you have 0:09 the best college experience possible. Our 0:12 mission is to serve you and that starts 0:14 with course materials. We take the 0:16 headache out of getting course materials 0:18 by working directly with faculty members 0:21 to ensure we have the right book at the 0:23 right time with options like renting, 0:27 buying new used, or even going digital. We 0:31 strive to provide the best and most 0:33 affordable options for you. We're excited 0:36 to introduce to you the Follett Access 0:38 Program, an innovative course materials 0:41 partnership designed to save you money 0:43 while making your life a little easier. 0:46 The Bookstore and Student Accounts have 0:48 joined forces to get your materials to 0:50 you automatically before the first day 0:53 of class at the lowest available cost 0:56 and it's working. The average cost of 0:59 materials in this program 1:00 has dropped by 27 to 34% which means 1:04 spending less money on books and more 1:06 money in your pocket. Classes are only 1:09 chosen to participate if the materials 1:11 are absolutely required. If your class is 1:14 participating, enrollment is automatic. 1:16 All you will have at least one course 1:19 during your freshman year that 1:20 participates. Since you may encounter 1:22 this program in your first semester, we 1:24 thought it was important to cover Follett 1:26 access in your orientation session. You 1:29 will receive at least one email letting 1:31 you know if you're registered for a 1:32 participating course. You will also see 1:34 charges appear on your UWF tuition and 1:37 fee bill. Access to the materials will be 1:40 granted even if you have paid your bill 1:42 or not so a financial aid delay does not 1:45 mean you can't get your materials. If you 1:47 drop a class before the end of the first 1:49 week of classes, don't worry. If you 1:52 choose not to participate, you can simply 1:54 opt out before the deadline then the 1:56 charge will be removed from your fee 1:57 bill and you will be responsible for 1:59 getting the materials yourself. Today, 2:02 course materials could mean a physical 2:04 textbook, ebook, or interactive course 2:07 software. We strongly recommend that you 2:10 look at your syllabus and make sure that 2:12 you understand what your classes require 2:14 before you opt out. You have until the 2:17 end of the first week of classes to make 2:19 your decision. If you opt out by mistake, 2:22 you can always opt back in until that 2:25 deadline. This has been a brief overview 2:28 of the UWF Follett Access. If you 2:31 have any questions, you can find more 2:33 information about how to access your 2:34 materials along with answers to other 2:37 frequently asked questions at uwf.edu/bookstore. 2:43 Go Argos!
